Which grade should I pick?
The number is the root's age. 5-Year is our oldest, most-prized root — a natural pick for a gift. 4-Year sits in the middle. 3-Year is the most approachable and a great place to start or to cook with. Use "Help me choose" and we'll set one for you; you can change it anytime.
Why is a bigger size cheaper per pound?
Handling and packaging are a smaller share of the cost on larger orders, so the 5 lb and 10 lb sizes carry a lower price per pound. We show the per-pound figure on every size so you can see it directly.
What is the Blemish Mix?
The same farm-grown whole root with cosmetic marks that don't affect the root itself. It's our lowest cost per pound — a practical pick for cooking or stocking up.
