Heil Ginseng is a family farm in Edgar, Wisconsin. Our family has farmed since 1953. Joe and his father later began growing American ginseng.

About the crop

Heil is Wisconsin’s largest ginseng grower by harvested pounds. All the ginseng we sell is grown on our own Wisconsin farm. We never mix it with ginseng grown in Canada or Asia. We harvest three-, four- and five-year roots and keep records connecting orders to harvest lots.
